CONNECT

Curricula Development and Capacity Building in Applied Computer Science for Pakistani Higher Education Institutions (CONNECT) is a partnership between Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Norway and Sukkur IBA University (SIBAU), Pakistan.  CONNECT aims to enhance the quality of higher education in Pakistan through academic cooperation with Norway, launch a master program at the partner institute, and support mutual student mobility. The key objective of CONNECT is to create a national curriculum for Master’s Program in Applied Computer Science at SIBAU and to strengthen the existing research cooperation between the two institutes. Following are the sub-objectives of CONNECT

1. Facilitating the accreditation process
2. Developing an expert pool
3. Launching a master degree program.

The expected outcomes of the planned activities of CONNECT are strengthening faculty-to-faculty ties between SIBAU and NTNU, offering international exposure to students and faculty members from both the institutions and launching of Master’s degree program in SIBAU. Moreover, the outcomes of dissemination and exploitation activities of CONNECT will increase the impact not only on the immediate participants and partners but also on Norway and Pakistan for years to come. The project includes 86 bilateral faculty/student exchanges including funding for six full Master’s degree in Applied Computer Science from NTNU Norway for Sukkur IBA University graduates.
